Life – Terror. Ecstasy. Fight. Denial. Flight. Failure. PAIN. Forgiveness. Reconciliation. Hope. Love. Peace – Death.
What is humanity’s most valuable commodity?
So precious that you are unable to buy more?
Once lost, can never be replenished?
Yet, is also the commodity that we take most for granted and waste most often?
Can we compare ‘Time’ with money?
The Most Expensive Materials In The World
- Plutonium – $4,000 per gram.
- Painite – $9,000 per gram.
- Taaffeite – $20,000 per gram or $4,000 per carat.
- Tritium – $30,000 per gram.
- Diamond – $55,000 per gram.
- Californium – $25-27 million per gram.
- Antimatter – $62.5 trillion per gram.
- Bonus: Jade stone – $170 million.
Antimatter at £42.5 trillion per gram – The most expensive substance on Earth. Production of one milligram of positrons costs about £20 million. In theory, we will be able to use antimatter as fuel for spacecrafts in the future. But the drawback today is that to make just one gram of it, all of mankind will have to work for about a year without rest. Time.
In monetary terms ‘Data’ is currently the most valuable commodity on Earth. Surpassing fossil fuels like oil. Big Data covertly collects, sells, and uses our data against us. Data is now considered to be the globe’s most valuable and vulnerable resource.
Every single day, we produce 2.2 quintillion bytes of data, that’s a staggering 2,200,000,000,000,000,000! Time.
How ‘we’ allocate our time can be a constant struggle.
Career, Family, Friends ……Health, Resources. Life.
It’s true that money (resources) can assist with diversifying (maximising)? Our time. However, for many it is often the pursuit of money that occupies most of their time?
Time is money, sometimes you can buy time?
We value being busy, enjoy being in control, and may even have deeply ingrained beliefs about money instilled in us that tell us that we should protect money at all cost.
Truth. Money doesn’t buy happiness, as they say and all the money in the world won’t buy a single minute of precious time.
For me, time is life’s most valuable commodity. To spend time with ‘my people’ friends, family doing something special?
Quite simply, priceless?
